  • The big news this week is of course the Max Coin Cap that was introduced. With its bucket-style design, it’s expected to have huge impact on much cryptoeconomics fundamentals. Available in 98% cotton for only $42.

  • A Grin StackExchange has been proposed. Please visit and follow the project in order for it to make it to the next round of review.

@tiagoloriato @Stop_Groupthink @twobitidiot @onchainfx If I were doing it all over again (like Grin is), I would probably choose just a fixed inflation rate, I.e. 1 ZEC per block from the genesis block until the end time. Grin has chosen that, and I'm envious of the simplicity.

  • 11 pull requests were mergedĀ in the past week, by 8 unique contributors.

  • @yeastplume had a PR merged that makesĀ partial support for Grin on Windows 10 possible. Full support inbound.

  • The last developer meeting discussed handling of unsafe http sending and wallet GUIs.

  • The auditor of our libsecp fork, JP Aumasson, has written about auditing Rust Crypto libraries.

  • TMGOX transparency report published, 0.411 BTC sent to the dev fund.

  • Ironbelly, mobile wallet for iOS and Android, was open sourced.

  • The team behind Etherscan launched aĀ Grin block explorer.Ā 

  • @hendi, behind community driven grin-pool.org, opened up for voluntary donations by miners to the dev fund (and to the pool itself).

  • Bittrex International exchange listed Grin.

  • Galleon Exchange was put on hold, kudos to the team for doing a graceful and elegant wind-down.

Research

  • Coincenter published The Case for Electronic Cash, arguing for why weĀ private peer-to-peer payments are essential to an open society. Worth a read.
